Laptop + phone: use your phone as a modem for your laptop. If you receive a call, answering suspends data transfer and resumes after your call is complete. You can connect to your laptop via a cable, or if your phone is capable, via infrared or Bluetooth® wireless technology.
Laptop + data card: a data card acts as your modem. This allows you to talk on your phone while simultaneously working online.
