SUNCOM CARES IS THE COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM OF SUNCOM WIRELESS.
The donations help fund programs such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County's ScholarShop in N.C., which encourages young people to explore career opportunities, and the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greenville, S.C., Smart Center, which provides after-school tutoring. The donation to Junior Achievement in Charlotte, N.C. will help fund Exchange City, a mini-city that students visit to apply what they've learned about economics, government and math to real-life situations. SunCom Wireless proudly promotes wireless AMBER Alerts that assist officials in rescuing missing and exploited children. Providing life-saving help to beach patrols, SunCom Cares contributes wireless phones and service to these officials in Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach in North Carolina. SunCom Wireless supports and encourages volunteerism by giving every SunCom Associate one day off with pay each year to work on community projects. In the past two years, SunCom Associates logged nearly 10,000 community service hours or the equivalent of 416 days.

SunCom Cares is focused on improving the lives of young people by providing educational opportunities. SunCom Cares was launched in February 2006 with an initial commitment of $120,000 to nonprofit organizations that focus on education. Since that initial commitment, SunCom has contributed an additional $187,000 to organizations supporting children and education.
